HONG KONG (SE): Father Ó Cearbhalláin, Seán of the Society of Jesus returned peacefully to the Father on August 23 at Wise Mansion, Flat 4L, 52 Robinson Road, Hong Kong at 5:20pm. He was 88-years-old
Father Ó Cearbhalláin was born in Derry, Ireland, on 28 October 1938. He entered the society at St. Mary’s Novitiate, Emo, County Laois, Ireland on 7 September 1956, and was ordained to the priesthood in Derry, on 23 July 1971.
He professed his final vows on 5 November 1975, at Wah Yan College, Hong Kong [transcribed to the Chinese Province].
Let us remember Father Ó Cearbhalláin in our prayers and the Holy Eucharist.
