In God’s palm

In God’s palm

In the palm of his hand, God cradles us protectively
With sheer compassion, warmth and tender mercy
Our hearts throb with joy to find solace and serenity
As we cast upon him our troubles and perplexity

Nestled in the palm of his hand we marvel at his majesty
How his remarkable creation sings of his power and glory
As he holds the rein of the fragile world we live today
He is also weaving the lovely fabric of our final destiny

When the wind of strife lashes out
with force and fury
And the aging earth jolts with tremor and great intensity
When our hearts shudder with fear due to horrific calamity
May we find our safe refuge in the palm of the Almighty.
