HONG KONG (SE): The first of nine Jubilee Year events to be held at pilgrim churches was held at St. Andrew’s Church on March 22, themed, “Youth”.
The event, hosted by the Preparatory Committee for the Celebration of the Ordinary Jubilee 2025, began with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and continued with a sharing session hosted by the Diocesan Youth Commission.
Young people from different walks of life including university students, a young working professional, a seminarian, and a deacon shared their experiences of hope and how their faith supports them in their daily lives.

The session ended with closing remarks from vicar general, Father Peter Choy, who spoke on the importance of accompanying young people in their journeys in order to give them hope.
The event concluded with a Mass presided by Father Choy and concelebrated by Guadalupe Father Tito Lopez.
After the Mass, Father Choy blessed the statue of the homeless Jesus that is to be placed at St. Andrew’s Church during this Jubilee Year.
