Virtues of the Blessed Mother that I would like to follow

The virtues of the Blessed Mother that I would like to follow is being humble with lively faith. She is a most perfect mother and a disciple and she knows how to value everything correctly and treasured them in her heart. Valuing everyday in life, whether it is bad or good for me is really appreciated because I know that God has a plan for me. Humbly bending my knees to God’s faith is teaching me how to carry difficulties in many ways. That’s why I admire and want to follow our Blessed Mother Mary because she was known for her humility and the virtue of knowing to stay silent.

The Blessed Mother Mary is dependent to our Lord Jesus Christ, just as what she told the servants in the wedding of Cana, to do whatever he tells you to do. To follow God’s will in our lives is not easy but if we always ask the Holy Spirit to guide us and through the intercession of Mother Mary we can follow Christ with Love, Joy and Peace to our heart and we can learn to share these to our brothers and sisters most specially to our families.

I encounter a lot of situations wherein the doubt that I have in myself was getting worse to the point that I even doubt the Lord’s will. One virtue that I would like to follow the Blessed Virgin Mary is the essence of being faithful to the Lord with all her heart. It is inevitably difficult to live since life is an unpredictable exploration. As each day passes, we are not aware of the circumstances that we are about to encounter. I would like to practise what the Virgin Mary possesses, which is the act of undoubtedly showing unwavering faith to the Lord no matter what the situation is. As I walk my journey in life especially that I am about to go to college, I will strive hard to follow her footsteps. Even though I do not know what is about to happen.

Our Blessed Virgin Mary had total trust and obedience to God’s will in her life, and her patience and endurance of the sorrows she encountered.

I have been in a confused situation for the decisions I had to make for my future. A decision I thought would never materialise. I felt like time stood still on me and all the burdens and problems I encountered followed one after the other which made it harder to believe that I could still make it. Still in those sorrowful days I divert my attention in other good things that happened to me and endured the agony of waiting. I prayed to Mama Mary to guide and intercede for me. Through my faith and strong belief that everything happens for a purpose and everything is prepared for the best in God’s time.

Humility, submissive to God’s will and patience are the virtues that I follow to my best on a daily basis. Humility not only helps us develop a more kind approach on interacting with others but also extends compassion and empathy to them. Staying put in the face of adversity and standing firm are also admirable virtues of Mother Mary, and we should be following, whether there’s something or even nothing in it for us at the end.

Faith is a gift from God. We receive it and we do not manufacture it out of our own hearts. The virtue I want to follow is the faith and obedience of Mother Mary to the will of God. To receive this gift, we must seek communion with the giver. Choose to trust him and practise receiving his gifts with open hands. With the guidance by the Holy Spirit we effectively grow and understand the purpose of our lives. We also seek the intercession of Mother Mary in our needs. As the saying goes, to
Jesus
through
Mary
.
