HONG KONG (SE): The episcopal ordination of Archbishop Ante Jozic was held at the newly built Church of the Holy Family in Solin, Croatia. He was ordained by the imposition of hands by Pietro Cardinal Parolin, Vatican Secretary of State on on 16 September. Thanking the Catholic Church in China, Hong Kong and Macau during his message at the end of the ceremony,
Archbishop Jozic spoke in Mandarin and English. He expressed his gratitude towards the dioceses of Hong Kong and Macau. He thanked John Cardinal Tong Hon, apostolic administrator of Hong Kong, and Bishop Stephen Lee Bun-sang of Macau, for their support during his 10-year tenure as the head of the Holy See Study Mission in Hong Kong.
The newly constructed Church of the Holy Family was opened and consecrated on September 5 by Archbishop Marin Barisic of Split and Makarska.
