From his heavenly throne
Christ bears our sins to atone
Our heart may be hard like a stone
But he supports us like our own backbone.
His head which thorns pierce
Shows he is the Prince of Peace
The one who secures justice
For the oppressed of human race.
Jesus is the source of wisdom
Who gains a crown of martyrdom
To grace us with a gift of freedom
And a chance to dwell in his eternal kingdom.
Jesus Christ is the mystical vine
Who makes the smallest sacrifice divine.
He becomes the sacred wine
Holding a banquet for us to dine.
