HONG KONG (SE): Sister Mary Clare Sin of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd passed away peacefully in Hong Kong on October 1, at the age of 77.
Born in Hong Kong on 19 October 1948, Sister Sin joined the congregation in 1985 and professed her perpetual vows on 5 September 1993. She was later appointed to support young people in need at Marycove Centre and Choi Wan Hostel.
In addition to her work with youth, Sister Sin provided pastoral care through the Hong Kong Central Council of Catholic Laity and Holy Cross Church, and acted as spiritual director for several Legion of Mary praesidia. Her compassion, dedication and fervent spirit inspired many in the Catholic community.
Sister Sin was widely loved and respected by fellow religious sisters, colleagues, students and the faithful.
Her funeral Mass will be held on November 19 at 10:30am at Marycove Chapel, Wong Chuk Hang, followed by cremation at Cape Collinson Crematorium, Chai Wan.
