HONG KONG (SE): The Diocese of Hong Kong held its “Journeying Together in Synodality” event on Saturday, September 19.

Held at Wah Yan College in Kowloon, the event brought together between 300 and 400 attendees, including representatives from parishes, religious congregations, and various diocesan organisations.
The programme, which ran from 10:00amto 12:30pm, served as the official introduction to the Diocesan Assembly scheduled for February 2027.

It also provided a platform for participants to share their experiences regarding synodality.
Cardinal Stephen Chow, S.J., delivered the opening address. Following his remarks, the Ad Hoc Committee—established in 2025 to spearhead relevant initiatives—reports featuring recommendations on promoting synodality within the diocese.

Attendees were also given an introduction to the planned 2027 Diocesan Assembly.
The gathering concluded with a sharing session, a question-and-answer segment, and a final blessing from Cardinal Stephen and Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Ha Chi-shing.
