Chosen from your mother’s womb to serve
To become the bride of the most beloved
For only your heart he alone deserves.
Clothed in grand humility and poverty
Nothing to worry for such amazing grace
He is your heart’s most precious property
Each moment beholds his magnificent face.
May your life be inflamed with his light
Then love him tenderly night and day
You are the dearest apple of his sight
Be Christ to others in every way.
Handmaid of God be faithful to him
You are a lovely rose of the Almighty
