Iwas inspired when I first met Our Lady of Mount Carmel Praesidium of the Legion of Mary. The members were like a family and they were really friendly to me. Although there were discussions among themselves sometimes, I could feel that the members were all dedicated to fulfill the ministry entrusted to them as a prayer army of Mother Mary.
Since I became a member of the Legion of Mary and learn more about the virtues of Our Lady and the values of the Gospel, I notice that there have been changes in my life. My vision for life was broadened and my attitudes modified. My relationship with others changed as I became more understanding. I have learned to tame my anger and enlightened to love even though it is difficult in some cases.
My faith and dedication to Jesus and Mama Mary strengthened in the passing of days. She always draws us closer to Jesus. Faith in the heart cannot be explained and only God can see what is within.
Above all, I became more sensitive to experience God’s love, mercy and compassion. I believe that God takes care of me and my family. I share God’s love and care about others as much as I can. I pray the rosary every day for the good of all.
As a legionaire, my ministries include visiting family while bringing the statue of Our Lady to different houses, recruiting friends to become active and auxiliary members, encouraging couples to be married to receive the sacrament of matrimony in the Church and inspiring parents to let their children be baptised.
Deep in my heart, I know I have done something different for others under the encouragement of Mama Mary and Jesus Christ. The feeling is great.
