Feelings of contributing through work and services

A sense of fulfillment…

I experience a strong sense of fulfillment and purpose in my work for my employer and church community. My work contributes to the success of my job, and the health of my faith community brings me real joy. It’s fulfilling to be part of something bigger than myself and to see the positive impact of my efforts.

Serving my employer brings me the joy of contributing to something greater than myself and seeing tangible results from my efforts. The satisfaction of a job well done, knowing that I’ve helped the company succeed, is very rewarding. It’s a pleasure to use my skills and talents to contribute to a positive outcome.

Serving my church community fills me with a different but equally profound joy. It’s the joy of connection – building relationships with others, sharing my faith, and supporting those in need. Knowing that I’m making a difference in people’s lives, no matter how small, brings immense happiness. The sense of belonging and shared purpose within the community is incredibly fulfilling.

A way to thank God…

The joy I feel in serving my employers is very different from the joy I feel in serving my church community. My employers are the reason why I am here in Hong Kong to work and earn some money for my family back home in the Philippines, so serving my employers gives me the fulfilling joy of being able to provide and help my family.

On the other hand, the joy of serving my church congregation is called “elated joy” and it is ecstatically happy knowing that I am serving God in my heart. God has done so many great things in my life, so serving him is my way of saying thank you and also my way of showing my love for Him.

A blessing to serve…

It is truly a joy to serve my employer and the Church. As an OFW with a grateful heart, I thank God that I’m here to serve my employer even if it’s tiring and stressful at times. But when I consider the result of my hard work before the happiness of my family, it really brings joy to my heart. As a member of the Apostleship of Prayer at St. Joseph’s Church, serving the Lord together with them and being my second family brings so much joy to my heart. Serving in the Church calms me and gives me inner peace, knowing that God is always there to grant my prayers and my heart’s desire. In serving Him, I always find comfort that in all my problems and tribulations, all will be well. He is powerful and I will continue to serve Him to the best of my ability and availability. He is my joy.

As an OFW, there are many things to sacrifice. Working with my employers is such a great opportunity God has given me to provide greener pastures for my family back home that I have really tried to be good in all my works to please my employers and gain their trust. While serving in the church is such a wonderful blessing and privilege that God calls me to serve in my free time. As a choir member of the Apostleship of Prayer Community, St. Joseph Church, I have been given such a responsibility in this ministry. God is calling me in a fulfillment that brings true joy to my heart and gives me peace.

I serve my employers with all my heart to the best of my ability. Humility is one reason why my work is good. I also serve wholeheartedly in the Church, which is my spiritual home. It is a happiness and a joy to serve the Lord with all my heart and all my life. Through the church, I gain strength and steadfastness in life through the Holy Word of God and have peace of mind and life. It is a blessing to serve in the Church with my family.
