The Catholic Migrant Community of St. Alfred’s Church in Tai Wai celebrated its 31st Anniversary on March 2.
The celebration reflected the strong solidarity and spirit of the community.The event began with an English Mass led by Father Dominic Fung King-ho OMI, who blessed the community. Festivities included a meal followed by a program with speeches from Father Luc Rene Young Chen Yin omi, who praised the group’s contributions, and video greetings from Sister Mary Cordero osf, highlighting the community’s growth from 8 to 28 members. The celebration featured performances like modern and liturgical dances, a certificate of recognition for supporters, and a raffle game.
Guests, including supportive employers and children, enjoyed the festivities, which included a popular photo frame stand.
