Choi Hung parish celebrates 31st anniversary

The Holy Family parish in Choi Hung celebrated its 31st Anniversary on December 29, with a bilingual Mass celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Ha Chi-shing.

The Mass was concelebrated by parish priest Father Johnson Dhos as well as other Divine Word missionaries and assistant parish priests Father Natalius Suryanto, Father John Ba and Father Peter Hai, who were assisted by Deacon Thaddeus Dao Duy Thien. 

In his homily, Bishop Ha talked about the importance of family prayers following the example of the Holy Family and the need for parishioners to pray together. 

The celebration included members from both the Chinese and English-speaking communities.

The parish have expressed their commitment to serving the Choi Hung community during its redevelopment phase. It will not be relocated due to the project as the land it occupies had been granted for educational purposes under a private treaty with the government. (Sunday Examiner, December 1)
