The Caritas Asian Migrant Social Services project and its “Go Green” volunteers took part in the Cartias Charity Bazaar in Victoria Park, Causeway Bay on November 3. Over 20 migrants of the Go Green group engaged the community with recycling games and quizzes, while volunteers of a sewing team sold umbrella bags, raising awareness about reusables.

The group has showed migrants’ commitment to sustainability and building a eco-friendly community as members meet every Sunday to set up street booths at places where migrants gather and let them know how to properly recycle materials at specific collection points, and how to use a government smartphone app for recycling.
It also regularly sets up game booths for waste reduction in cooperation with other non-government organisations. SE
