
HONG KONG (SE): Bishop Stephen Chow Sau Yan, SJ, visited Stanley Prison on December 25 and celebrated Christmas Mass, the Hong Kong government reported on its website. The bishop shared the faith and imparted Christmas blessings with participating persons-in-custody [PICs]. He also visited the prison hospital to convey sympathy and support the patients.
The bishop was joined by Ng Chiu-kok, the deputy commissioner [Operations and Strategic Development] of Correctional Services; Deacon Edwin Ng, the chaplain for Correctional Services; and Hang Yun-cheung, the chief superintendent.
The Correctional Services Department arranged the activities.
The government also reported that Anglican Archbishop Andrew Chan of Hong Kong, celebrated a Christmas service at the Pak Sha Wan Correctional Institution on December 22.
