United for the Sacred Heart of Jesus
Bishop Chow with the Apostleship of Prayer’s Chinese and English-speaking communities.

The Apostleship of Prayer’s Chinese and English-speaking communities gathered to celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on July 3.

The Sacred Heart of Jesus symbolises God’s boundless and passionate love for humankind. As members of the Apostleship of Prayer, we rooted our lives in prayers and mission, introducing the love of God to humanity. We choose our prayer network to pray for the intentions of the Holy Father for the month.

The bilingual Eucharistic celebration, held at Mary Help of Christian Church, Kowloon, was celebrated by Bishop Stephen Chow Sau Yan, sj, and concelebrated by our Apostleship of Prayer National Director Father Anthonius Reynolds Balubon, svd.

Celebrating the feast together with the Chinese-speaking community is a sign of unity, said Bishop Chow in his homily. Before this day on June 26, the Apostleship of Prayer of the English- speaking Community also celebrated the solemnity at Holy Cross Church, Sai Wan Ho, with a Mass celebrated by the spiritual director, Father Rodolfo Jacobe omi. Besides the Mass, a procession around the church premises and a soul-lifting serenade to the most Sacred Heart of Jesus from different centres marked the day.
