What do I treasure most in my life?

What do I treasure most in my life?

I have educated you in the ways of wisdom, I have guided you along the path of honesty. When you walk, your going will be unhindered; if you run, you will not stumble” (Proverbs 4:11-12). As for me, I will treasure God’s unfailing grace and love because I want to be worthy of eternal life. I’m not perfect and often make mistakes, but I keep trying my best to live according to God’s words. If we want to know what God want us to do, ask him, and he will gladly tell us, for he is always ready to give us a bountiful supply of wisdom to all who ask him.

We all have treasures in life. I most treasure God, the giver of life and all his blessings. Next comes my family because they are my inspiration here in Hong Kong. I work abroad to lift my family out of the hardships of life with the help and guidance of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I meet their needs, so I am thankful to the Lord with all my heart.

My relationship with God is most important because, in him, I have everything. He is my friend whom I can share my problem with. I can talk to him about anything without being judged. He is my healer when I am sick. He is my provider when I require provision. His love for me is everlasting.

My faith in God is most significant, for he is the source of everything in this world. Next is my physical well-being, which supports my spiritual life, work and relationship with others. Work is an important treasure because it is through my job that I can help my loved ones — family, relatives, friends and the community where I belong. I also treasure my family, who inspires me to do well with my daily tasks, encourages me with my faith in God and live this earthly life meaningfully.

God’s words are the light of my path that I can survive and overcome whatever trials and circumstances I face.

What I treasure most in life is my health because health can help a person to perform his tasks properly. Good health is central to human happiness and well-being. In addition to that, a healthy person is a person who can serve himself, his community and his nation. It is significant to the economic progress of a country as a healthy population is more productive.

Aside from God, I treasure my family, for they are the good reasons for my existence. My life revolves around my family members. They show me the meaning of love, faith and friendship. They make my life worth living. They are my inspirations in my job as an overseas Filipino worker.
