Bishop Paul He Zeqing of Wanxian presided over the ordination of Father Joseph Jiang Fuxin at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Wanxian. Father Jiang completed his priestly formation at the National Seminary in Beijing and now serves the diocese. Bishop He had ordained a deacon for the diocese on the previous day, June 28.
The Diocese of Leshan also welcomed two new priests on June 29. The occasion was a moment of comfort and joy for the faithful of the Apostolic Prefecture of Xinjiang/Yuncheng, who were grieving the death of Bishop Peter Wu Junwei on May 10.
