Is the Holy Spirit an active force in your life?

Is the Holy Spirit an active force in your life?

Since I surrendered my life to Jesus, I have changed significantly. I have become a renewed person, and out of gratitude to the Lord for my transformation, I have decided to serve him in whatever ways I can. The Holy Spirit always comes to my aid when I need him most. Whenever I have doubts or need to decide, I would go into prayers and ask for guidance and enlightenment from the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 says, “the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control” I pray to God that I may be granted all the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is always an active force in me as I allow the whole of me to be his vessel. His active presence makes me feel protected. He teaches me to avoid foolish talks and guides me to be a good influence on others. The Holy Spirit allows peace and calmness in my heart and my life; despite the many troubles, kindness, patience and gentleness are some proof of the work of the Holy Spirit in me. Foul words and mean attitudes are now avoided, and I have a loving relationship with my family. We live our lives in an enlightened way as we help and support each other in giving and sharing God’s love with our neighbours and with other people.

The Holy Spirit is always there to guide me to make the right decision in my life. The Holy Spirit opens my spiritual eyes, ears, mind and heart to know and follow God’s will all the time.

The Holy Spirit guides me in my daily life. He gave me the power to love and practice self-discipline. He works in me through the Word of God. There are many ways that the Holy Spirit works in our lives as Christians.

I believe that the Holy Spirit gives me wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to work with others, understand and share God’s Word, and be a light to those who are still in the dark.

Whenever the negative emotions began to consume me, I would hear a voice inside my head telling me that everything would be all right because I am not alone in this battle. It kept reminding me that God is with me, assuring me that He will never give me an obstacle I can’t overcome. And I know that that voice is the Holy Spirit because it is just like the helper that Jesus describes in John 14:26, “The Advocate, the Holy Spirit that the Father will send in my name — he will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you.”

The Holy Spirit was the one sent by the Father as my Advocate. He guides me into truth, convicts me when I sin, prays for me when I can’t, and helps me worship God rightly. He is my comforter whenever I felt down and discouraged, my wisdom, and that warm embrace whenever I feel God’s presence, joy and peace.

I was in deep sorrow when my youngest son passed away from an accident. The grieving processes were never easy. It was torture to experience that kind of sorrow. It was intensely painful, even gut-wrenching, and took much time. In the process, I asked questions I had never asked before, questions about the nature of God and the worth of life in general. I felt numb and enraged at times, and I felt the hurt most of all. Accepting the loss of my son was never easy but knowing God, the Holy Spirit moving inside me through my family and friends, my sufferings turned to strength, and I learned to live with the pain.

The Holy Spirit is active in my life as I entrust everything to God. I believe in God’s faithfulness that he will never leave me. When my husband died, I prayed to God for all my needs and healing from devastation and my brokenness. Sure enough, I received comfort and strength as I felt I was not alone. Since I believed and received the Holy Spirit, I am enlightened. The Holy Spirit is active in me through my good conscience and more positive outlook. Simplicity and contentment bring peace and joy to my heart, a proof that the Holy Spirit protects, empowers and guides me throughout my earthly life.
