Every morning when I wake up alive,
I thank God for staying by my side
To start the journey wishing a good ride,
To where God leads I will just abide.
My lips will forever sing your praise,
Proclaiming your works and amazing grace.
As well as to spread your love and peace,
Direct me home in your dwelling place.
Sometimes when my heart gets tired and weary,
I may not say it all but you know my story,
For all my failings and shortcomings
I am sorry,
For my heavy loads you help me carry.
My pillow is like a catch basin for tears,
My hurts and pains God also bear,
Helping me to conquer all my fears,
Your whispering voice is the sweetest in my ears.
Sometimes on mountain top I just want to scream,
Until my voice reaches the stream,
To see you face to face is my biggest dream.
Enkindle in my heart Lord like a burning flame.
When I am in darkness you show me your light,
When I am down and losing
you encourage me to fight,
You come to my rescue with all your might,
In doubts and confusions please hold me tight.
When I feel deserted and God seems so far away,
I beg you Lord please, stay.
In my silence I sincerely pray,
May in the breaking of the dawn is beautiful day.
