As we prepare to return home for good…

As we prepare to return home for good…

I’m preparing to start a small business and it depends on my capital. God willing, I will start with networking through health and wellness, then when everything is stabilised, I plan to engage in networking business when I retire from my job here in Hong Kong and return to the Philippines.

I want to be able to learn how to develop social and marketing skills for a small business I want to start back home. This will help me make ends meet and pay my bills.

Mushrooms contain fiber, vitamin D, and other compounds that can be beneficial to our health. I want to develop my skills as a mushroom production trainer to help people who are interested in starting this business. Besides, having a mushroom farm can also help generate livelihood for farmers.

As a volunteer catechist here in Hong Kong, I will continue to teach our Catholic faith when I go home for good. Therefore, I need to study more the Catechism of our Catholic faith and know more about the teaching methods in order to become a more effective teacher or catechist.

The skill I want to develop before I go back to the Philippines is cooking. I need more practice to improve my expertise in this area by doing some experiments in making different menus; learning to use different culinary techniques and asking for feedback from family and friends who are experts in this field.

The skills I want to develop when I return to the Philippines for good are the ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing; problem solving skills or the ability to identify and solve problems creatively and efficiently;  and the ability to effectively manage time and prioritise tasks.

The skills I need is to discern and find out what kind of business or work can be my sources of livelihood when I go home for good. I will discuss with my family what kind of business to get involved in.

Apart from the material side. I must also take care of my spiritual side. I will figure out how to participate and serve in a church community to strengthen my faith.
