Mixed feelings of working overseas

Mixed feelings of working overseas

I am proud that our family is always settled in comfort, and that family and friends to live a happy and meaningful life. I try as much as I can to treat people with kindness and set a good example for my children and other people, hoping that kindness will be spread in our world.

I can be proud of myself because I have been blessed by God with the strength and grace to overcome every obstacle. On the other hand, what I wish I had not done was to forget to love myself because I focused my priorities only on my family and neglected that I have to love myself as well.

One thing I always pride myself on is showing up when needed. Being open to show what I can do and give my best when asked is an important step for me to survive. On the other hand, one thing I’ve regretted is holding back. I had hesitations even though I have the potential, and that prevented me from being my best. These two things remind me that I have to be confident. Do not be afraid. Do it with the wisdom of the Lord.

I finished my studies and my parents were happy that day. Second, when I became a mother to my daughter and she made me feel so joyful and loved every day. My regret is that I wish I did not get married so early in my life and lastly, I should not have worked as an OFW for 16 years because my daughter grew up without me by her side and she needed love, care and affection both physically and mentally which money cannot buy.

I was truly proud when I led the opening of several projects, stepping out of my comfort zone, learning a lot, building great relationships, and leading a dedicated team. While I celebrate these successes, I also acknowledge the times when fear held me back and caused me to miss transformative opportunities.

The thing I’m most proud of is raising my family with love and strength. Seeing my children grow up to be good and responsible people makes it all worthwhile. On the other hand, I wish I had worried less and enjoyed the little moments more. Time flies, and I’ve learned that happiness is in the simple things.

The act or thing I am proud of now is being able to forgive the person who hurt me the most and caused me so much pain. As a Catholic, we all know that forgiveness is important.

I’m most proud of is getting my nursing degree and becoming a licensed nurse in the Philippines. This has been my dream since I was young. I have always been very passionate about helping other people in need. I have also used my nursing skills to help my family when they are sick and even strangers on the street. God has given me compassion, care and love for what I do and I share my gift to help people in need.

As for things I wish I had not done, I would say none. Because we are always responsible for our actions. Although I have made mistakes in my life, I have learned a lot from them and improved my overall well-being.
