At times when I’m about to give up
I close my eyes and pray above
In silence I saw the face of God
Looking down on me with a tender love.
He never gives up on me
Even though I’m a sinner child of him
With his kindness I’m still blessed
Always guiding my path when it’s dim.
In the darkness of my despair
I felt his presence, surrounding me
His love and grace, beyond compare
His salvation, setting me free.
Through the storms that rage within
He is my rock and my hope
Redeeming me from all my sin
His mercy helps me to cope.
He welcomes me, with arms open wide
Into his embrace, so warm and true
His sacrifice all the time
Bringing salvation, for me and you.
No matter how lost I may feel
He is there guiding my way
His love is an eternal seal
Saving me from negativity.
So when I feel like giving in
I close my eyes and call his name
And he reminds me, once again
Of the gift of salvation, forever the same.
His love, an endless ocean
His grace, a boundless sea
In his arms, I find devotion
His salvation, setting me free.
So I’ll continue to trust in him
For he is my refuge, my salvation
In his love, I am whole again
For he is my God, my eternal foundation.
