The slow journey of my life

The slow journey of my life

In a world that rushes past,
I am but a turtle slow,
My pace may not be fast,
But at least I continue to grow.

My life is like a turtle,
Slow and steady on my way,
Though progress may be subtle,
I am moving forward day by day.

While others sprint ahead,
I plod along with care,
Through every twist and bend,
I make my way without despair.

With patience as my guide,
I navigate life’s twists and turns,
Not seeking fame or pride,
But learning as the candle burns.

In a world of instant gratification,
I embrace my steady gait,
Finding joy in the exploration,
Of each small step I take.

My journey may not be flashy,
Or filled with proudest display,
But every moment, however sassy,
Contributes to my growth each day.

So here I am, a turtle slow,
Moving at my own gentle pace,
Embracing each dwindle flow,
With a smile upon my face.

For in the end, it’s not the speed,
That matters most in life,
But the willingness to proceed,
Through joy, through pain, through strife.

So I’ll keep on plodding,
One step at a time,
For in the end, it’s the journey,
Not just the finish line.
