The season to be jolly

The season to be jolly

These feelings are reflected in the lyrics of this song. Christmas is indeed a joyous time when all Christian families remember the birth or coming of our beloved Saviour Jesus Christ. It is also a time for family members to come together and make up for lost time, as some family members are separated by distance due to work locations, different schedules or other factors.

Everyone is grateful, happy and joyful on Christmas Day. From the bottom of our hearts, we exchange gifts, eat and drink together. We used to celebrate Christmas this way because we grew up believing that Santa Claus and Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer existed, only to discover the terrible reality that they are really products of our imaginations and that our parents, who are devoted and diligent in their efforts to provide for us, are the true givers of gifts.

As we grow older and begin to raise families of our own, we begin to understand that no amount of money will ever fully compensate for the sacrifices parents make for their children. Being pregnant now and experiencing a lot of anxiety has made me realise this, but with my parents’ support and guidance, I’ve come to terms with the fact that this baby is a blessing and I must do everything in my power to be a wonderful mother, put aside everything I wanted to do for now and give my child the life she deserves. We have to appreciate everything that has been given to us, good and bad, as we move into the future. We must acknowledge that there will be good days and bad days, just like this Christmas season. Like our Saviour Jesus Christ, who gave his life without asking for anything in return, we should always look on the bright side and never give up.

May we all be kind and understanding to one another, for we never know what the future holds. I hope everyone has a Merry Wonderful Christmas!
