It is a great challenge for me to accept our common duty as lay person in the Catholic faith to be able to clearly express the teachings of our Church among those people who have been deceived by false teachings. As a true Christian who married a woman who was brought up by religious cults, only prayer with perseverance in the gradual propagation of correct doctrine was my first step to lead my wife to become a baptised Catholic, and now, through an gentle approach, I’m currently trying to slowly and carefully catechise my wife’s relatives and my mother-in-law whenever there is a possibility to do so, and which hopefully, by God’s divine mercy, will soon lead them to a total liberation from the bondage of false doctrine.

I believe that there are still people who do not know the message of salvation that Jesus offers us. I follow what is written in the Ten Commandments and share it with others. It is also important to be an example to others through our own actions and to share verbally what the Church teaches us. I think it can help a lot to spread the message of salvation.

I think there are people around me who do not know Jesus and his offer of salvation. What do I do to help spread the message? First, I have to know Jesus myself. I can’t introduce Jesus to others if I don’t know him. Secondly, I must accept the offer of salvation that Jesus makes to me. When I know Jesus, I have accepted him and accepted his offer of Salvation, then I can spread Jesus Christ. As the saying goes, “you can’t give what you don’t have”, so I have to fill myself with the knowledge of Jesus and his salvation. Now that I have Jesus, I can share him with others. For me, the best way to do this is to make sure that my life shows Jesus. I should be able to reflect Jesus in the way I live. I should ‘walk the talk’. If I’m living Jesus, I can be a walking Bible. Others will know that God loves them when I love them as God loves them. Another thing I can do is to join a Bible study group or a sharing group so that I can talk with these people about God and our salvation and how we are loved by him.

For me, I don’t really know how to share the gospel, but by reaching out, like sharing some inspirational videos, Bible verses and most importantly how I practice my faith. Maybe through that I can at least let them see Jesus in me and it might open their minds to know how Jesus lives in a person. And he brings peace in all areas of life.

Yes, there are people who need to know the message of salvation that Jesus offers, especially my own family. I know that they have faith and believe in God, but they don’t seek and cooperate with the salvation that Jesus offers. Two of my siblings are not married yet and yet they have long-term partners. I just pray for them that one day salvation will come into their lives. We know that in the Catholic Church those who are not married and live together are against the teachings of the Church. I will help to spread the message of salvation by being a good example to them that I am not the same person I was before, an adulterous woman, but that God has changed me by his grace and for that I can spread the message of salvation. I will also pray for their transformation.

For those around me who do not know the message of salvation that Jesus offers us, what I do to help spread the message of salvation is through social media,; like that of the Holy Rosary and the Daily Gospel with everyone, whether it be in a post or a direct message. Social media has been a tool to help us connect with others, so we might as well use it to help others know more about Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

We need to give our time during meetings to know the rules and plans of our group, especially the important events of the Church inside and outside. We also need to participate in prayer, catechesis and Bible sharing. Then we may need to encourage some friends to join the Church activities to motivate them spiritually.
