The Rosary invites me to know and love Christ better by meditating on his birth, daily life, passion, death and resurrection. It is a humble and simple prayer to realise that I am not worthy, and that is why we need the help of Mary to bring us closer to Jesus. It helps me to do this; it helps me, like Mary, to concentrate on the “good portion” which is Christ. Through the rosary, Jesus can speak into our hearts and say the words he said to Martha: “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary” (Luke 10:41). Through the rosary we can sanctify not only the best moments of our day, but also the idle and seemingly mundane ones. Above all, I have in it a peaceful state of life, not just to feel it.

Being far away from my hometown and my family, praying the rosary is one of the most of my shield and weapon to combat loneliness, exhaustion, fear of what would be my life years from now, who will take care of me if I get sick or when I am already old, sickly and dying, so on and so forth.
While praying the rosary, my troubled mind will become at ease, and my burdened heart will eventually experience calmness as I pray with tears, appealing to Mother Mary’s intercession that the Almighty God will always be merciful to me and my family and protect me from any harm or danger in all my endeavors.
I feel relieved from the anxiety of my day’s activities while praying the rosary because I offer all my worries to God with the help of Mother Mary. As I utter and sing the rosary, all my worries and sorrows will be gone, and I feel relaxed because I am yielding blessings from the Almighty God.
