There is no eternity in this world but a mother’s love for her child…I have learned to instil this in my heart because I grew up away from my mother. I remembered in my childish thoughts those tearful nights when I longed for her arms to hold me. When I became a mother myself, I realised that it’s not that easy…my guilt for being away just repeated my story, but even though I gave my all to my children, nothing compares to a mother’s unconditional and genuine love. I love you Mum, wherever you are, you are always in a safe place in my heart.

“The light of our home”. A mother’s love is the greatest gift of all and it is boundless, without limits and unconditional. She is the super woman of our lives. I am grateful to my mother for giving me the life to experience how beautiful this world is. You have always been with me through ups and downs, through happiness and sadness. You are the strongest person I’ve ever met. Thank you for the sacrifices, the support, the endless care and the undying love. For bringing us up with all your hard work and patience. Thank you also for being my best friend with whom I can share my successes and failures in life. I will cherish all the great and wonderful memories we spent together. Life without you is very hard, everything has changed, but I am still thankful that you are always guiding us in every path we take. You are my inspiration to achieve my goals and dream in life. I know that thank you is not enough for being the greatest woman in the world to us, but we are so grateful and blessed to have you. You are the best mother we could ever dream of.

No one can measure the depth of a mother’s sacrifice, nor can we repay the priceless favours and love of our mothers. On this special day, I am not only celebrating the most beautiful union between mother and daughter, but I am also dedicating it to my Aunt Rose. An aunt who I consider to be the perfect mix of mother and friend. I’m blessed to have you in my life, you’ve been a mother to me, always giving the best of love and care. You’ve supported me financially, emotionally and spiritually. You are kind, truly amazing, willing to listen and give advice, a wonderful aunt to me and a role model who is very easy to look up to and admire. I feel very lucky to have an aunt like you. Auntie, you are so loved. Happy Mother’s Day to you.

A mother is the one who can take the place of all others, but whose place no one else can take. A mother’s arms are made of tenderness, and children sleep soundly in them. I am so grateful for you, my dearest mother. Thank you for always being straight with me and for being the best encourager. I can feel your love and support from miles away! Thank you for loving me, teaching me, encouraging me and raising me.
I’m proud to call you my best friend and mother. There is nothing like a mother’s hug. There’s no love like a mother’s. I love you and I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day!

The hardest thing in life is when I try to look back at the memories of my mother, I always remember her as a breadwinner, kind, generous, loving mother to us, her 8 children and to other people, amidst the difficulties she faced in her own way to provide for our needs. My heart still aches every time I look at her picture and wish that if only she were still alive, I could do more to make her happy and fulfil her simple wish of having her own sari-sari store. Unfortunately, illness left her paralysed and suffering for almost a decade.
On this occasion of Mother’s Day, I would like to remember her and all mothers out there, living and those who have left us behind, to be remembered and to cherish the memories of their love and sacrifices they made for us. May the good Lord have mercy on their souls and lead them to His eternal glory. Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers around the world.

My mother is a superwoman. Indeed, she is. She never gets tired of everything from early dawn until evening. She is always there every time we need her from small things to big things. My mother is like a fortune teller, who knows what’s the best for us and if something is bothering in her children. She has no pay, no day-off and no retirement. My mother will always be a mother in our hearts. Our love for her is never ending.
