Water is life

Water is life

The world is getting worse and hotter and hotter. But sometimes people are just good in complaining rather than doing their part to help combat the rising temperature of the world.

There are many unusual things happening all over the world obviously because of the climate change. They are signs that the world is telling us to be alarmed, be responsible and be more sensitive to the need of the world, and to to love its natural beauty and wonders.

Dealing with the climate change is like experiencing real torment and torture of our time for all creatures living in the surface of the earth, water and of the skies. If this environmental predicament cannot be stopped and controlled or we do nothing to address this problem we and the future generations will surely suffer. We cannot just rely on the government and other private sectors to solve this problem but each one of us has a great role to play to save our Mother Earth before it is too late. We all have our sacred duty to save our suffering land.

We could hardly go out of our house because the burning temperature piercing on our skin is intolerable and may cause health problems and many other complications. Earth is home for all living creatures made by God to live, subdue and be multiplied. A perfect paradise but have been abused and destroyed.

Here in my province we are dealing with El Niño. Rivers and creeks are drying up. Lands and fields are having cracks. Deep wells are running out of water. Green grass turns brown and trees die. We cry for rain as we cannot survive without water as water is life.

Everytime I say the Holy Rosary I always include in my intentions for the grace of heaven for the rain to replenish the dying lands and quench the thirst of the living creatures.

On the other hand, Jesus knew the kind of death he is going through. So he went to the mountain in the garden of Gethsemane to pray. Jesus is with peace in nature maybe nature helps soothe Jesus’ weary and anguish soul and from there we can already see the role of nature.

We may see and realise it and we learn to reconcile with the nature whom we commit grievances and offended so badly and that we now suffer the consequences of our own negligence and cruelties.
