What do you think God is asking you to change in your life?

What do you think God is asking you to change in your life?

I think God wants me to improve my faith in him and develop my way of life.

Ephesians 4:20-24 says: “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

Spiritually, God wants us to have an abundance of peace, love, and joy in a full relationship with him. He also wants us to experience an abundance of gratefulness for who he is and what he has done. Many people believe that the primary focus of living in abundance is to have an excessive amount of material things. And it’s good to be reminded that everything in this world is temporary. So, being attached to anything and anyone can possibly make us detach from God. Let’s put God the centre of our lives, in everything we do.

I think what God is asking me to change in my life is to ask for his guidance first before making any decision. I always tend to do things on my own without asking nor thinking if that decision I will make is God’s will. By simply changing the way I act before, it will be bring me closer to him. As his children, obeying or doing the right things will make our life happier and it will be filled with more blessings.

Firstly, I would like to improve my patience. Sometimes, I find myself getting upset or frustrated when things don’t go as planned or when I have to wait for something. I realise that this is not a good trait to have as it can create unnecessary stress and tension. I believe that by improving my patience, I’ll be able to handle situations better and maintain a more peaceful mindset. Secondly, I would like to work on boosting my confidence. Sometimes, I doubt my abilities, which stops me from trying new things. I want to change this by believing in myself more and stepping out of my comfort zone.

Self-improvement is a continuous process. It’s about recognising our flaws and making a conscious effort to change. By working on these aspects, I hope to become a better version of myself. While it may be challenging to change these aspects, I believe that with determination and effort, I can make these changes and become a better version of myself. The first step to making a change is recognising what we would like to improve, and then taking steps to make those improvements.

In this past few months, when I recall all the things that have happened to me, I realise and maybe God let me realise it, that I need to improve my patience. I need to have more of it. Lacking of patience produce wrong decisions, wrong actions and hurt people even those I love. And because of this I feel my life is an unending burden and the toxic mindset that keeps banging me until I am exhausted. I thank God for this realisation before it’s too late for me and I might have done things that I may regret. I know by God’s help I will be a better me for his love is unconditional and even though I am a sinner still, he will pull me out of the pit that I created for myself.

I think God is asking me to realise that I don’t need so many things and just be happy and have a peaceful life. Also God is asking me to change my life by not believing on superstitious beliefs and trust him only.

After so much reflection on myself I feel God is asking me to change some of my attitudes. I am so sensitive, with very low threshold to emotional hurt. It takes me so much time to forgive and forget and let go. I always ask God to keep up my patience.

Another thing, that I want to change in my life is my shyness. I always feel self concious especially when I am with people other than my family. I pray to God to give me more self confidence in dealing with people.
