How can you be the messenger for the coming of Jesus

How can you be the messenger for the coming of Jesus

In my own way I do evangelising using social media like Facebook specially to us OFWs who may lack informations and knowledge of catechism background. In some instances I share reflections and remind others that we need to be ready and prepare ourselves for coming of Jesus.

Matthew 25:13 says “Therefore stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour.”

Ket Dian Capoy

We can be a good messenger of Jesus by starting doing good in our own self. We need to repent, cleanse ourself from what sin we have committed. We need to forgive and do good to others, helping those brothers and sister swho lost their way especially those who have not yet fully believe in Jesus Christ, our Saviour.

For me, I will start within myself. I must live the Gospel and be the living testimony of God. Through my experiences, I will share with others how I met Jesus in my life and how much he loves us especially if we trust and have faith in him in all the trials we face.

I need to be prepared myself first by living in the light of his first coming, to be discerning as often times deceptive thoughts cause anxiety. I also need to recognise uncertainties as sometimes I fall into wrong judgment and made me feel guilty; to dwell and have faith to the Lord when I am afraid and losing hope, for when problem stirs, it makes me feel weak; to help encourage people when they too have their troubles, help them uplift their burdens by giving positive thoughts and advice, sharing my own experiences of hard times and that we should not lose hope for the Lord will fight our battles for us if we seek for his help.

I will also remind myself and others to live as if today is the day of our life on earth and that despite our sinfulness our Lord never ceases to give us his abundant blessings. And lastly is I will keep doing the task that our Lord Jesus has given us, that is, to share God’s words and wonders, and that if we put our faith in him, he too will keep his promise to redeem us.

First, I will ask myself, “Am I really prepared for the coming of Jesus? How does Jesus enter in my heart if I’m empty?” I must be prepared in my journey as an overseas worker, in my own way I always do good to others. Even people do not always like me, I will stand firmly to my faith, to my heart’s desire to trust in God, do what is right, because I truly believe that Jesus never leaves me alone. He is always at my side even in my failures, in my darkness, and in my weaknesses. I know Jesus is always there to understand, to guide, to give me strength to face all trials that I have. He makes me stronger. I will share also the word of God to others, bring Jesus to them by bringing comfort and peace to those people around me. In this way not only through words but through my actions, I will be a good messenger of Jesus for his coming. I will see Jesus in others and endeavor to make others see Jesus in me too.

Being a messenger for the coming of Jesus, I want to be like him in a sense that people around will see Jesus on me. I will show my humbleness, learn how to forgive, to share and help the people in need, and to understand and let people know our purpose here on earth by sharing the Word of God and the teachings. I will share the goodness of Jesus to mankind, and remind others how our Heavenly Father loves us, that he gave his only son to redeemed us.
