Avoiding sins and tempations that I know would not glorify his name. The Bible says the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) so our wish to remove sins in our life is something we should openly communicate to God. It is in our human flesh to continuously crave and dwell on sins but only his grace, surrendering, and being humble enough to admit we are wrong is a way of saying we do not want the presence of sins in our life. The coming of Jesus means eternal life and how can we achieve that when we love sin that resuls to death? Our part is to be obedient with his words as a children of God.

As I prepare for the coming of Jesus, I’d strive to be a better version of myself each day, seeking forgiveness for my mistakes and extending that forgiveness to others. I’d focus on building stronger connections with those around me, offering support, love, and understanding in my interactions.

Preparing for the coming birth of Jesus is an important task for believers. It involves deep reflection, self-evaluation, and making necessary changes to align one’s life with the teachings of Jesus. Deepening relationship with God, repentance and forgiveness, living a life of love, embracing humility and unity, seeking justice,
cultivating gratitude, trusting in God’s timing and transformation—by making these changes, believers can actively participate in God’s kingdom work and be ready for the coming of Jesus. These are the changes in me that I want to achieve too. — Doriz Masilang
With the coming of Jesus, I keep living with good faith and make Christ as the centre of my life. I intend to continue doing good deeds and share my blessings. To become a blessing in whatever way I can. And of course do my best to follow Jesus’ example.

To prepare myself for the coming of Jesus, is to let go of those negative emotions, be more aware of my actions and words. To be a better version of myself now, praying more to Jesus for wisdom and guidance that I may serve him with all I am and that I may bring glory to his name in all my actions.

As we enter the season of Advent, knowing that this is the time to wait for the coming birth of Jesus Christ, I know I have to slow down and clear out my internal junks to make room for Jesus. I must open the doors of my soul and proclaim, “Yes, Lord, I have room.” I must exclaim, “You are the preferred guest in my heart, Jesus.”
