Caritas Bazaar returns to Victoria Park after four years.

The Caritas Bazaar season kicked off with the opening event returning to Victoria Park on November 5 for the first time since 2018

HONG KONG (SE): The charity fund raisin events had been compelled to go small with mini-bazaars since 2019, and especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, but returned to full-scale events across Hong Kong in 2022.

Officiating at the opening ceremony on the morning of November 5 were Stephen Cardinal Chow, S, bishop of Hong Kong; Father Jospeh Yim, chief executive of Caritas-Hong Kong; along with Bernadette Linn, the secretary for development of the Hong Kong SAR; Flora Leung, the head of the Retail and Wealth Management Department of ICBC [Asia] Ltd.; Dennis Chang; Andrew Chan, honorary adviser of Friends of Caritas; Theresa Ng, chairperson of Friends of Caritas.

A concurrent bazaar was held at Tin Shui Wai Catholic Primary School, Tin Pak Road, Tin Shui Wai.

On November 12, the bazaar will be held at Chueng Sha Wan Playbround, Sham Shui Po; on November 19 the venues will be Sha Tsui Road Playground, Tsuen Wan and Caritas Chan Chun Ha Field Studies Centre, Cheung Chau; then on November 26, the final bazaar of the year will be held at St. Rose of Lim’s College, Sha Tin.

There are 177 booths from more than 40 units. Apart from games, handmade goods, value for money products and craft workshops, an inflatable park, snack bars and a photo spot decorated with balloons will be set up at the bazaars.
