All God’s creation is very good

All God’s creation is very good

Our God created the mountains and the trees
He created the rivers and the seas
He filled them with creatures
Of varying shapes and sizes.
Butterflies, black and yellow bumblebees
Elephants on land and fishes in the waters
Bugs and worms and caterpillars
Winged creatures and those that crawl
Those that fly or climb and those upon the forest floor.
All these he made, and many more.

Koalas and kangaroos with Joeys in their pouches
Platypus, echidnas, crocodiles
The lazy sloth that lays around all day and slouches
And snakes that slither on the ground
As God deemed they should.
And when our creator surveyed it all
He saw that it was very good.

Armadillos and manatees
Toucans, macaws and hummingbirds
Various species of monkeys in the trees
Capybaras, ocelots and jaguars
Pretty parrots and budgerigars.
Sun flowers and violets
Roses and anemones
Vines with grapes and trees with fruit
And berries on the canes
Rice and wheat and other grains.
He made all these and many more
And when he cast his eyes upon them all
He smiled because they were very good.
From the largest to the small.

God’s love was overflowing when he saw all that he had created.
He wanted to share it with creatures who would love his handiwork
So he formed a man from the dust of the earth
And breathed into him his life,
He created a woman, to be the man’s wife.
And gave to them his creation
That they would be stewards of the land, the sea and the air,
To care for the animals, the plants, the fish and the birds
And love each other and have a hand in His Creation
When they would bear and produce their own heirs,
Nurturing and loving their little ones
From the moment of their conception
Cherishing all that God had given, without exception.
And God surveyed all he had done in time
And all his Creation is very good; it is sublime.
