My favourite Bible verse is Romans 8: 28, and it reads, “We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.” I like this verse so much because it emphasises love as the key to all things. If we love the Lord, then we will love our neighbours, our family, and even our enemies. Where there is love, there is peace, hope, joy and above all good rewards from God. Let us all as Christians learn and grow to love the Lord and everything in our lives will begin to align with his purpose.

“Heal me, Lord, that I may be healed; save me, that I may be saved, for you are my praise,” (Jeremiah 17:14). I chose this verse because I am a child of God who has hope for the future. I hope that I can achieve my dream and give my parents the care that should be returned. I would like to receive healing from prayers so that I can live with joy and a lighter burden. I can’t do everything without the Lord. This verse strengthens my outlook on life.

“Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God,” Philippians 4:6 says. This verse is special and my favourite because it reveals about God, and shows how prayers empower us in difficult times. St. Paul’s advice for us is to turn our worries into prayers. It reminds us to give our struggles to God, and surrender them all, to trust that he works for our good in his timing. When we face hardships and feel overwhelmed with life, this verse reminds us to turn to God, ask him to help us and think about the positive side. Speaking with God, telling him what we need and praising him for what he has done will allow us to experience peace, gives us hope and encouragement. Let’s trust and have faith that we are in God’s hands.

Psalm 127:3 is my favourite verse from the Bible where it says, “Certainly sons are a gift from the Lord, the fruit of the womb, a reward.” For me the best gift I ever received from God are my children. They are my life and my wealth. I considered them as my greatest possessions and a big blessing from God. I will forever be grateful to Our Lord for all that he has given to me and my children.

My favourite Bible verse is “Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). My life has been filled with love of God. From my childhood to now, I have got tremendous support from my parents, my wife, friends and colleagues. Being filled with love is the grace from God. Love is the source of power to live happily. Let’s thank God in prayers in times of both success and failure.

Jeremiah 29:11 “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” Whenever I face a bad situation or trials, I hold on God’s promise in this verse because it gives me comfort, guidance and renews my strength to move forward as I try to look at them in a positive way. Indeed no problem is permanent. For I have the Lord.

My favourite Bible verse is from Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, on your own intelligence do not rely; In all your ways be mindful of him, and he will make straight your paths.” This verse gave me hope and strength in all undertakings that I made. Life for me is very hard as a single mother of three children, raising and attending to them by myself. Sometimes I question the path that I have walked through, or if I can go through all the hardships. But my trust and faith in our God is so strong and I always believe that he will walk by my side in performing my duties as a mother of my children.

“When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen” (Isaiah 60:22). This verse always reminds me that everything happens for a reason and has its own perfect timing. This makes me think about the positive side of life all the time. No matter what we are facing right now, we should trust in God’s assurance that everything will fall into the right path. The big word is trust and God will make it happen.
