The night before Christmas

I felt so much emptiness
Hugging myself.
My room was so cold
My nose was blocked.

My heart is yearning
For a Christmas in my own house
I miss my kitchen and living room
I miss my home-cooked food.

There are a lot of things missing
That I can’t seem to feel
I received a lot of greetings
But can’t fill the void of my longing heart.

It must have been so much nice
If I were at my own home
And the whole house would be warm
With my family’s presence.

But, I am here alone
Trying to console myself
not to be sad
Because like today,
tomorrow will pass.
