The Holy Spirit— the Father’s gift

The Holy Spirit— the Father’s gift
A praise and worship session during the celebration on Pentecost Sunday.

The Catholic Charismatic Renewal International Service organised a gathering on June 5 at the Caritas Hall, Caine Road to celebrate the Pentecost Sunday. The theme was “The Holy Spirit—The Father’s Gift”. Father Tommy Murphy was the main guest speaker.

Having waited for two years since the suspension of gatherings, the event has brought excitement to members of the charismatic groups.

Around 400 members from the Chinese and English-speaking communities of the different parishes were present.

The afternoon’s activity began with praise and worship led by the Loved Flock Hong Kong Charismatic group. Everyone was joyful with the Spirit.

Father Murphy, in his talk, read scriptural verses highlighting the presence of the Holy Spirit and his role in our lives. The Columban missionary reminded those present that the Holy Spirit is the gift from God that is central in our life.

Father Murphy and Father Lawrence Lee Len, diocesan chancellor concelebrated the the Mass to conclude the event. SE
