When I was only 13 years old, I was not active as a Catholic. Despite this, God showed his presence in me with his mercy.
It was the day before Christmas, and my sister and I were hurrying to go home from the city to our province. The buses were full, and we had no choice but to take the last bus. So many people were getting into the bus, so I took my place on the top roof while my sister sat inside.
I was not expecting that an accident may happen to us at that time. Maybe because it was so windy on top and I could not see things clearly.
Suddenly our bus collided with another one, and in a few seconds, I found myself on the ground lying with my head on top of my right arm as I collapsed.
I was shocked to find some dead people around me, some badly injured.
I then thought that God sent an angel to catch me and some other people who survived because I only got a minor swelling on my head and no severe injuries on my body.
For me, it was a miracle to survive that accident.
Honestly, before the accident, I had been like a lost sheep looking for the Lord to shepherd me. But in this incident, I was given a new life and a mission to talk about the work of God in my life.
Since then, I have embraced my Catholic faith and become an active one. I realise how he works in my life and that without him, I am nothing. And with him, I am complete.

I believe in God even if I don’t see him, in the sense that I feel his presence in my life.
