Reason

                                                     

Life is a gift, and how you live it is a choice.

I work overseas to give my family a reason to rejoice

The pain of sacrifices I endure

For them to be secured

From morning ’til late night, I grind

And it takes me a lot of effort and determination

To be fit in my job and new location

Where the rising hope I find

Betrayal is the painful product of decision

Which suffering is not an exemption

But it does not stop me for my reason

Believe that it’s part of my life mission

To forgive and to heal

I conquered pride and fear

Faith and prayer as my weapon and protective gear

Knowing that God is near and real

I find solace in the sacred place

He comforted me with his embrace

At the cross, I see His mercy and grace

And His love to me and to all human race.
