Life is what we make of it

Life is what we make of it

Time is moving so fast, and the world is ageing fast. Time is irreversible. Everything that happened in the past has become the history of the passing time.

We are now treading the “love month” of February, and everything just went well and smooth despite some struggles we meet along the way as time and life will go on, no matter what happens.

Every time we wake up alive, it is already a manifestation of God’s great love. As we go on with life, we trust the Lord for the journey towards the end. We have just started the year, and with a strong faith in God, we believe we can make it to the end meaningfully as well.

With the uncertainties of the world, we know it is never an easy journey, but with the love and mercy of God, we can surpass every trial that might come to our paths. As we continue to traverse life, we will also consider what we bring along with us. The most important weapon is prayer. Yes, I truly and strongly believe in the power of prayer.

We must also be aware of what we store in our hearts. Unload and let go of all toxics in our life as they only make our journey heavy and difficult. Keep, preserve and utilise those good memories. Always bring along with us the love and peace of the Lord and spread it everywhere we go. We also keep the virtue of being grateful in all circumstances.

Suffering is part of the mystery of life. We should never forget that love is painstaking, and genuine love may hurt. Nevertheless, what is good and comforting about it is that true love conquers and rejoices in the truth. We can never underestimate the power of love as it has the power to change even hardened hearts. We should also be mindful of our companions and build good relationships.

We are responsible for one another. Sometimes we focus so much on ourselves that we tend to be insensitive to others in need. We can always extend even a little help because it could be immense help and comfort for others. It feels good to free our hearts from all grudges, envy, hatred, unforgiveness and pride. We can always learn from our mistakes but never dwell on them.

These are just some of my reflections as I contemplate life and contribute to making our journey more fruitful.

They say that life is what we make it. Therefore, it is not all about what the year 2022 can offer us but what we can do to create more beautiful stories in a beautiful world.
