We all can feel the spirit of Christmas as we see dazzling lights and colourful Christmas decors everywhere. We hear Christmas carols, sounds and rhythmes creating cheery moments, rejoicing and glad tidings fill the air. To many people around the globe Christmas is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. “Merry Christmas” is the general greetings as people share the merriment of the festive season. To a child Christmas is a time to give and receive presents, and enjoy the surprises that come with it. To the young and active youth Christmas is a time for renewing friendship with old buddies, making new friends and strengthening fellowship. To parents Christmas is a time of family reunion, welcoming old and new members of the family for staycation or a break from work for relaxation and sharing the Christmas spirit.
Yet to us believers of Christ, Christmas means a celebration of life itself and a reflection of the kind of life we had lived in the past years. We may need to think how we can make it better in the coming years.
Let’s make every day a Christmas Day in our lives.
