Our greatest moments of growth spiritually come when we are willing to step out from the familiar into the unknown and trust that God will help us. God has a purpose for each one of us. We need to open our heart and ears to listen to his calling. Doing his will may require us to leave our comfort zones. We have our different callings. Some are called to serve him through a religious vocation, while some as missionaries to a foreign land. I believe that when we truly love God we are willing to make these sacrifices for the glory of his name.

I like making plans for my future, my retirement and most of all for my eternal life. I give importance to my eternal life so I can be prepared when my time is up. With that goal, it can help me to direct my life to the right path to reach my final destination which is adoring and praising our almighty Father forever in afterlife.
While planning, I always ask myself what is important for me and what I want to attain in life. These will help me decide. Remember to find what you love, what you’re good at, do things that you enjoy and do not be afraid to try new things to lead you to a fulfilling life. Entrust your plans to God, let him guide you through your success and failures.

I am willing to serve God out of my comfort zone. I trust God enormously knowing he will give me strength to be able to do all things. As Jeremiah 29:11~14 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give future and hope. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.” I will not be afraid and take the risks for God because I know he will never give me challenges that will push me down. So whenever he calls me, I will embrace and face it, knowing that he just wants me to grow up.

We are called by God to do mission and to serve one another. But life is always challenging, and sometimes it almost crushes us to the ground to test our faith being a Christian. I am blessed when I joined in El Shaddai fellowship community who always uplift my faith and my spiritual growth. And our faith are deepened with the help of our chaplain who nourishes our faith through the word of God. We are also empowered by doing our mission to our Kababayans (compatriots) through hospital and prison visitation and other outreach programmes. I offer to the Lord all my burdens and specially that of my family, as said in Psalm 55:22, “Give your burdens to the Lord and he will take care of you.”
My apostolic works must go on as Isaiah 6:8 says, “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?’ ‘Here I am,’ I said; ‘send me!’” I am willing to leave my comforts in life and say “Yes” to the calling of God with great delight.

I am wiling to leave my comfort zone because serving him is my priority in life. For me through service I can bring back all the goodness that God has bestowed upon me though I know I’m not worthy enough but through his mercy and compassion I can say that I can be his humble servant. Through service I can share my time and talent to my brothers and sisters in Christ. 1 Peter 4:10 says, “As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” It’s not easy to follow his path. We need to get out of our own comfort zone. I believe if we are in his vineyard, any struggles, problems and difficulties in life can be overcome easily.
