God has not promised that life will always be easy
For indeed there will be seasons of pain and misery
But his sustaining grace is sufficient daily
To those who trust in his love and mercy
Life’s weather will not be always sunny
For torrential rain may pour down heavily
Unexpected storm may lash with its fury
But God has promised to be with us all the way.
At times we may have to battle with infirmity
That drives us to the verge of despair and anxiety
But the Lord has a balm for every malady
The great physician who can restore our vitality
We live in the age of restlessness and uncertainty
As various calamities whip the ailing humanity
Yet the Lord offers us his peace and serenity
As our refuge and fortress that give us security
Thus we should not waver but hold on firmly
To God’s precious promises for you and for me
They will give us strength, courage and victory
So we can thrive and flourish in the midst of adversity
