The English-speaking community of St. Matthew the Apostle Parish, Tuen Mun, celebrated the 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines on August 8.
We danced together to the theme song “We Give Our Yes.”
I think the message of the song was beautiful. Many Filipinos are working in many different places outside our country and carry this precious gift of faith with us.
As we thank God for this gift, we are also tasked to go and share our faith with our brothers and sisters wherever we are. It is humbling to be of service to God in our own little ways in our community and in our work place.
After dancing, our parish priest Father Pietro Zamuner said, “Let us take this time to not only praise God and rejoice for ourselves, but also share our joy of grace of love with others.”
