Almighty Heavenly Father, we thank you for the celebration of our Independence for which our forefathers have fought many years ago. We thank you for the liberation of our people, the oppressed, the powerless, and the persecuted. We thank you for the courage and strength you have given them defending our land up to the present. Truly, it provided us with a lot of opportunities through exercising our rights and privileges as a citizen of our country. We thank you oh God for these blessings bestowed on us and for the next generations to come.
We also pray for the heroes of today that are continously protecting our country and our fellow Filipinos so that we can enjoy our hard-earned freedom. We also pray for our government, that they may continue to defend our land and our freedom won by the blood of our forefathers. May the officials work for the common good of our society instead of their self interests.

Almighty Father, as we commemorate the Independence Day, we thank you for the life and freedom that we enjoy today. Help us to be united as one family so that love and care for one another will reign in every heart. I beg for your guidance and wisdom for our leaders. May their vision be clear and may they work for the good of all Filipinos. Help us strengthen our faith so that we will not depart from you specially during this pandemic. Heal our land, O Lord! Bestow blessing upon all of those on the front line. We also pray that rebels will stop from their wrongdoings. Open their hearts and minds that they may realise we are one Body of Christ. We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen.

God in heaven, we recall the day when the Filipino people claimed their place among the nations. Accept the prayers we offer for leaders, citizens and this country. May we enjoy lasting prosperity and peace.

Lord Almighty God, we do not have a big country but we Filipinos are humble, happy people in spite of poverty and other problems among families. We are kind and hospitable for people from other countries. We are struggling to make our country as a better place in the world. We are not rich nor powerful but we are compassionate towards others. In your guidance and blessing we become rich in your love and care. We, Filipinos, have a strong faith in you. Guide us Lord in a proper path. Grant us leaders who serve in accordance to your will and not for their personal agendas, who will truly serve the country wholeheartedly. Lord please give us courage and wisdom to face all trials that come our way. Bless us Our Lord. Mabuhay Philippines.

Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people chosen as his inheritance. (Psalm 33:12). To all my fellow countrymen, as we celebrate the 123rd anniversary of our Independence Day or our day of freedom, let us raise our hearts to our Almighty God and pray.
God our Father, we thank you for bestowing us freedom, justice and unity. We are so grateful to you for giving us liberty. Shower your abundant blessings for our country that we may have honest and faithful governance. May your spirit dwell in the hearts of our leaders, so that they may serve with generosity, kindness and genuine love for every Filipino. Bless the Philippines with better economy and more job opportunities, so that Filipinos may no longer have to leave their family and our country to serve foreign people to make a living. Please help to strengthen the spiritual life of religious leaders and community members, and let your love unite us in building a peaceful country by promoting morality with Christ. May our God be always the centre of our life. We ask all these in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
