Surely you have heard of the law of attraction. And most likely you already have a position on it, which can vary between firmly believing in it or considering it as nonsense. In between there can be many different positions. In the proliferation of this dreaded Covid-19 coronavirus that threatens our way of life as we know it, the decisions we make and the priorities we have will change.

The greatest risk people face in their fight against Covid-19 is fear. We should be on guard not just against the virus but also against catastrophic misinformation that fills social media today. It does not mean remaining naïve and being incapable of making good decisions. Consider the following in order to be well informed to combat fear and promote a positive state of mind.

  1. Be selective in your information sources: medical associations, health organisations, physician friends. Information from social media platforms must be verified before trusting and sharing them.
  2. Keep yourself in a positive state of mind by doing the essentials: eat well, sleep well, exercise, meditate. These essential habits help us to be the best we can be, for ourselves and for others.
  3. Do the things that you love to do while avoiding dangerous recommendations! You might love to eat junk food and drink wine every night. Not attending to the body will eventually take its toll.
