As the world faces tremendous crisis, we’re losing our grip of our invented stronghold and staggering against the weight of load cast upon us by harsh circumstances.
Many are groping in the dark, stumbling and falling and unable to see a glimmer of hope in the horizon. This situation causes mental agitation and emotional turmoil.
We tend to whine, rant or fret about things and situations beyond our control and seem to be fettered by the heavy chain of fear that we are unable to devise prudent measures to handle the stigma of this pandemic.
Being too downcast or too anxious to think positively, we fail to look up to the Mighty One who reigns supreme over the universe. We distress ourselves with needless worry when God is offering us his peace, quietness and rest.
In times like these when economy is crashing, when the pestilence is voraciously claiming lives, when famine is sweeping over the land, when multifarious problems are escalating, when international conflict is unceasing, when moral darkness is deepening, when our strength is failing and suicide rate is ever increasing, our only means of security and assurance of serenity is to take refuge under the shadow of the Almighty (Pslam 91:1).
