Almighty and ever-living God, we acknowledge you as our creator and heavenly Father. You have created us according to your own image and likeness. You are a God of love, healing and miracle. Yes, though heaven and earth will fade away but your love will still remain in our midst. No matter how unfaithful are we, you will not abandon us for you are our faithful God and Saviour.
Dear Lord, look and have pity on us, your poor children here on earth. How long do we need to suffer from this terrible enemy that dwells in our present life? This Covid-19 pandemic really weakens and shakes our faith in you because of our fear.
Day after day, we also hear that people are dying from all sorts of challenging crisis in life, from health and physical problems, car accidents, natural disasters or calamities and so forth. Jesus, to whom shall we go if not to you? You alone have the word of eternal life.
Lord our Mighty God, in you alone we hope against all hope to deliver us from this horrible coronavirus. The whole world is suffering from a big loss. People are becoming restless and panicked on what to do next with their lives.
The spirit of fear reigns in our hearts also. We have lost our jobs. We have lost our loved ones and we cannot even be present to see them in their final departure from this earthly journey. How sad to see these things happening before our eyes in this way. It has really a domino effect in all aspects of our existence. People are becoming helpless with a drooping spirit.
Our Abba, strengthen our faith in you. Give us the grace and divine strength to carry our daily crosses, to face this trial with faith and confidence in you.
With your unfailing love, despite our weaknesses, we will rise again once more with a bright ray of hope waiting for us at dawn.
