HONG KONG (SE): Around 1,000 people gathered at Chater Garden for a rosary prayer recital on October 26. The prayer service was organised by the Justice and Peace Commission under the theme, Sowing the seed of Hope.
Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Ha Chi-Shing of Hong Kong, reminded the gathering that everyone is God’s child and mutual respect is one of the way to rebuild peace.
He pointed out that the repeated pattern of rosary is a good way to show an insistence on peaceful approaches to express our demands.
He also urged people to pray the rosary together at 10:00pm every night for the setting up of an independent inquiry committee about different issues related to the now-withdrawn extradition bill.
