Stormy, stormy night …

Stormy, stormy night …

In the middle of the night I suddenly woke up,
Thunderstorm roaring loud in the sky up above!
Lightning is flashing here, there and everywhere,
Trees swinging and bending as the wind howls.

I quickly ran to my children’s room as I heard them cry,
Frightened by the loud noise coming from outside,
I jumped into their bed, embrace and tuck them in my arms,
Combing their hair and calming them as I hum a sweet lullaby.

Hush now my babies do not be frightened, mother is here,
Soon all these things will be over, and we can see rainbow again,
Flowers blooming, chirping birds and children playing around,
No more thunderstorm, the sun is shining, and the sky so blue.

Remember my child all things in this world are temporary,
Nothing stops, nothing stays, all will be gone in the end,
Like the ticking of the clock it goes on and it just passes by,
Keep your faith, smile more and spread love everywhere.
